Review | Carinthia at German Innovation Day in Berlin
Every year, the "Future Festival" in Berlin showcases the world of innovative ideas of German small and medium-sized companies. The annual Innovation Day of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy was held at the premises of AiF Projekt GmbH on 9 May this year.
Carinthia shared an exhibition stand of the Austrian foreign trade organisation with the Austrian Business Agency ABA to present its assets to the interested public. The Innovation Day was an attractive opportunity for BABEG to present the many options Carinthia has to offer as a tech location that make it attractive for foreign companies. BABEG was particularly pleased to welcome Austria's Ambassador Dr. Peter Huber and the Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs, Michael Esterl, at the exhibition stand.
The event organised in the framework of the Innovation Day for SMEs was held for small and medium-sized companies that received support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in the form of innovation funding that was open to all areas of technology. Some 300 companies from Germany and Austria presented their achievements to an audience of around 2,000 people.
Ms. Tanja Kogler was available to answer any questions on cooperation options and inquiries of companies thinking about setting up business in Carinthia, and in B2B meetings she presented all the many facets of the innovation space that Carinthia is. Dr. Pamela Mühlmann, head of the Research, Technology and Innovation unit of BABEG, used the opportunity to obtain important input for Carinthia by attending several lectures on "Digital Technologies" and "Artificial Intelligence".
